"Evil Just Won't Die"

Films: Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972), Return of the Blind Dead (1973), The Ghost Galleon (1974), Night of the Seagulls (1975)

Alias: The Blind Dead, the Knights from the East

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area/Ocean

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The evils of corrupt religion still live to this day. But the absolute darkest reaches of how badly belief can destroy others have yet to rise. Well now they have, in the form of a band of scoundrels who choose to uphold the bastardized way of the Knights Templar.

History: Many centuries ago, the Knights Templar rounded up women and sacrificed them in violent rituals to appease their dark lords. They were all found guilty of heresy, and left hanging at the gallows for the birds to peck their eyes out. Now, every seven years, they rise again as cannibalistic revenants, riding on demonic stallions and terrorizing the land of the living.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The knights have both succeeded and failed across films, but while the daylight gets them almost every time, it is the destruction of their bloodthirsty idol that causes them to keel over for good.

Powers/Abilities: Invulnerability.

Weakness: Must rely on sound due to blindness, will die indefinitely if their idol is destroyed. Daylight also staves them off for a while.

Scariness Factor: 4-They may be the blind dead, but they just need to hear you breathing to get you. These creeps are the Nazgul before Peter Jackson put them on the screen, just on a smaller budget.

Trivia: -The real Knights Templar was a Catholic military order established in the 12th century, and one of the most efficient fighting forces in the Crusades. It dissolved when they were accused of hypocrisy and the worship of evil deities such as Baphomet.

-Believe it or not, but when America got its hands on this film, it tried to re-edit it so that the knights were actually resurrected zombie apes in a post-apocalyptic future. This was all done to capitalize on the "Planet of the Apes" franchise, and it was called "Revenge from Planet Ape". We wish we were making all of this up.

Hey, they clearly need the warmth.

Don't give them ideas, jerk.

Wanna back out of history class now?

Or "Shoot! We did it again!"

"Sucks to be us, doesn't it? My robe's in peices due to the saltwater."

"Stupid...saltwater!"

"So...what did we miss?"

"Which way to the fair?"

Their true master is one that follows one particular creed, though..."The Devil has 3 Heads"...

"Why do I have to do the heavy lifting?"

The Krusty Krab interrogation room.
Clearly, the senile dead are more threatening!!!

So, they're half bat? Okay, that was awful.

"Great! We're almost out of the Looking Glass! That Jabberwocky will soon no longer be our problem!"

Don't forget the rich and the ugly.

Just say 7 days. You know you want to predict the future of another supernatural force.

"NOBODY EXPECTS-oh, wrong context."

Death, dude.

Blind until you keep selling them eyeballs, that is.

I guess we're going to crossover with pirates, soon.

Must have found out about Kobra-La one day.

Karma hurts, don't it?
